The Lookbox Design Awards (LBDA) honours the projects and people that are setting new benchmarks for home interior design in Singapore. A total of 184 entries were submitted this year by some of Singapore’s most outstanding interior design firms. Hafary is the proud sponsor for the Home of the Year 2019 award.

57 entries were shortlisted to compete in the finals of the Award. The categories were Outstanding HDB Flat, Outstanding HDB Flat: People’s Choice. Outstanding Private Apartment, Outstanding Landed Homes, Best Space for Entertaining, Best Space for Retreat, Best Small Space Living, Best Open-Plan Concept, Most Dramatic Transformation, Home of the Year and Interior Design Firm of the Year.

Goy Architects took home the awards Outstanding HDB Flat, Best Space for Retreat and Home of the Year with their design Shizukokoro. Shizukokoro, which means a “calm mind” impressed the jury with their interpretation of a Japanese inspired interior that were achieved with a series of simple interventions and customized furniture items.

Other Winners and Honourable Mentions include Neu Konceptz, Third Avenue Studio, Haus Atelier, Atelier Here, Wee Studio, Monocot and Upstairs_.
